So first, when it comes to build quality. So again, we have to remember that the price on these is low, but the build quality is way better than we expected. So we have, you see, an adorable, clear case with a driver inside. So over the past year, I used 20 of these different IMEs. Many manufacturers even send them. Personally, I purchased these myself, so no one has sent them to me.

But when it comes to build quality and how they feel, these don’t feel any worse than $20 or $25 earphones. So when it comes to build quality, for the price, it’s really, absolutely unbeatable. Also, very decent tips here, and the connector pins are good.

And when it comes to sound quality and price, these are the cheapest, decent-sounding earphones you can get. So at this price, you can get anything that actually sounds better — up to $15 to $20 — than our day KZ earphones. Actually, some of them are slightly better than this. Comparison to Higher-Priced IEMs
So when it comes to overall sound quality for this price, these are absolutely unbeatable. So, at this price, there are no other earphones that can beat it for sound quality. So I have seen some Martin claims in the cases that these can match, $50 earphones. Still, that’s very far-fetched, because if you compare them to, say, decent earphones from other manufacturers, like some $40 or $50 ones, then, of course, these aren’t as good. So, again, that’s quite stretched, but for this price, it’s really completely unbeatable.
Technical Performance Breakdown
How do they compare to more expensive headphones? So, five or six times more costly earphones. So first, the overall depth of the sound isn’t as Premium, basically, on these. And also, the clarity and crispness are again slightly lacking —basically, if you compare them to, obviously, way more expensive earphones than these. The volume, however, is actually very, very decent on these. But again, so when it comes to all crispness and how actually crisp the sound actually sounds. So again, they’re not $50 or $40 earphones, as KZ claims. So again, it’s a far stretch, but if you compare these to other manufacturers’ earphones in the $20 or even $25 range, they easily match up. So, almost one-to-one when it comes to the actual sound these can produce. So yeah, for this price, they’re actually completely unbeatable.

Physical and Build Differences
Also, how do these actually compare to the older model? So, I also got this— okay, what do we have? So, you also have this KZ EDX Pro. So, the nonX version. So, this X version is essentially a newer version of this. When it comes to build quality, these are identical, really, except, as you see, a tiny, tiny bit different, the design of the metal plate. But again, so when it comes to build quality, these are identical.
Sound and Driver Comparison
Overall, the sound quality may be 15% better on these. So the volume actually is a bit louder. If you check the driver sizes of this versus these, you see that these actually have larger drivers. But when it comes to sound quality and how people actually prefer, these. They have slightly smaller drivers. They have improved the quality of these, and they have gotten even better with smaller drivers, still producing, yeah, again, 15 to 20% better sound quality overall in most areas.

And next, let’s test out the microphone quality on these. So, currently I’m speaking maybe 10 to 15 cm away from them, almost directly inside a quick brown fox jumped over the lazy dog while Peter was pickling his peppers in the backyard. And previously, I was recording on a $400 microphone. The difference will be absolutely massive. Overall, for its price, the microphone quality and clarity are actually very decent.
Volume and Gain Issues
However, in terms of volume, it falls short. If you use this for recording, you will have to increase the microphone gain. So again, it’s definitely not the loudest microphone. The mic is actually very decent, especially considering the price. Gain, so the microphone volume is low. So again, if you use it for a voice-over, you will have to go into the Audio gain settings and increase the gain on these to get the best volume. But apart from that, really for basic stuff. So I can’t complain about these.
