I’m Muhammad Fahad, the person behind GeekHunk, a tech review site I’ve just started, built to give honest, practical reviews of gear that’s actually worth your money. Right now that means IEMs and earphones.
I’ve been reviewing tech for 7 years now, and GeekHunk is where all that experience finally has a proper home. It started small, testing whatever gear I could get my hands on, and over the years turned into a genuine habit of picking products apart to see what’s actually good versus what’s just marketed well. That gap between the two is basically what GeekHunk is built to close.
What I review
Right now, GeekHunk is focused on IEMs. I test everything from budget chi-fi picks to pricier options, looking at sound quality, build, comfort, and whether a product is actually worth what it costs.
That said, GeekHunk isn’t staying IEM-only. I’m expanding into gaming peripherals next, keyboards, mice, and the rest of the gear that gamers and everyday users rely on daily. Same approach either way: hands-on testing, honest opinions, and a focus on value, not hype.
How I test
I don’t rush a review out after a day with a product. Every review is based on real, extended use:
- Real listening time. IEMs get used across genres and across multiple listening sessions before I form an opinion, not just a quick first impression.
- Comparisons. Products get measured against others in a similar price range, so you know how something actually stacks up, not just whether it sounds “fine” on its own.
- Full breakdown. Sound signature, bass, mids, treble, detail, soundstage, plus build quality, comfort, and cable or fit where it matters.
- Pros and cons, always. Even a product I really like gets its trade-offs called out clearly.
As GeekHunk grows into gaming peripherals, the same standard will apply: real usage, real comparisons, straight opinions.
On honesty
GeekHunk uses Amazon affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy something through a link on this site, at no extra cost to you. It’s part of how the site stays running.
That said, affiliate links never decide what gets a good review. I test products the way I’d want them tested if I were buying blind, and I write what I actually think, good or bad.
